2010 Holiday Tea and Tours


Announcing 2010 Holiday Tea Dates

Our Holiday Teas are an excellent opportunity
for you to experience the beautiful Castle during this special season. After tea there will be a brief history presentation, including holiday decorations that belonged to Libby Kriz, and guests will be allowed to explore the Castle. Come and enjoy our casual early afternoon tea including a buffet of lovely traditional holiday savories and sweets. Take some time to socialize and explore the beautiful surroundings.

Then guests will receive a presentation of the Castle history, an overview of the restoration, and the stories of the Castle's owners. Guests will then be taken on a tour of the impressive rooms of this stately mansion.

Proceeds from the Tea and Tour support the ongoing restoration and maintenance of the Castle Tea Room, which is owned and operated by the Libuse Kriz-Fiorito Historical Foundation - a 501c3 not for profit organization.

  • Cost: $20 per person

Space is limited and spaces fill fast, reservations are required. If you have a group of 15 or more you can schedule a private Tea and Tour.

Fall 2010 Tea and Tour Dates

Weekend Tea & Tours are an excellent opportunity for you to experience the newly restored Castle Tea Room. Our casual early afternoon tea includes an assortment of treats both savory and sweet that are prepared by Dianna's Kitchen.

Then guests will receive a presentation of the Castle history, an overview of the restoration, and the stories of the Castle's owners. Guests will then be taken on a tour of the impressive rooms of this stately mansion.

Proceeds from the Tea and Tour support the ongoing restoration and maintenance of the Castle Tea Room, which is owned and operated by the Libuse Kriz-Fiorito Historical Foundation - a 501c3 not for profit organization.

Join us for a Thursday Luncheon

For many years the Castle Tea Room was known as the finest restaurant in Lawrence.
Many individuals and social groups enjoyed a festive afternoon Luncheons that included a simple yet tasty entree, a drink, and a light dessert.

The Castle has teamed up with Dianna's Kitchen to offer the opportunity to have a luncheon experience in the splendor of the recently renovated Castle. Menu choices will be reminiscent of those offered during the hey day of the Castle Tea Room in the 1950's and 1960's. The luncheon will include a brief history presentation and the opportunity to explore the magnificent rooms of the Castle.

We have held several Luncheons in the past few months, and guests have commented:

"It was great to be in the Castle again, it is more magnificent than I remember. The lunch was perfect!"

"My friends and I really enjoyed the Luncheon and Tour of the Castle. In fact they are still raving about it!
